Resume

Ryan McGinley began documenting his friends and Lower East Side subculture in New York City when he was a teenager. His large-format color photographs soon graced the walls of the Whitney Museum of American Art, where he was the youngest person ever, at the age of 25, to be given a solo exhibition.
His subsequent photographic series and films, have run from large scale road trip productions, caves to intimate studio portraits. An exhibition at P.S.1/MoMA established him as one of America’s preeminent young photographers.
